Library ServicesComputers, Internet & Email Access We have 27 IBM compatible computers are available in various departments for public use. They offer Internet access and Microsoft Office 2003 Suite featuring Access, Excel, PowerPoint and Word; you are limited to the programs and equipment provided by the library. All computers have printers available, the charge is 10¢ per page for black & white printouts, and 50¢ per page for color printouts. Removable media to save your work is available for purchase. 3.5" floppy disks are $1, blank CDs are $2.Staff provides limited assistance for basic startup procedures. If you have never used computers or have specific questions about software, there are instruction manuals, self-help tutorials and videos available for use. We also offer one-on-one computer classes covering basic use of computers, the internet, and email. Call us at 687-9228 to make an appointment. The Internet provides access to other computer systems throughout the world. Users are advised that some systems contain materials that are offensive, inaccurate, or illegal. Campbell County Public Library supports intellectual freedom, but does filter internet access. Anyone under the age of 18 must use filtered Internet access unless they are being assisted by a parent, guardian or library staff member, or have parental permission for unfiltered access, indicated by a sticker on their library card and a note in their patron record. Campbell County Public Library System uses a pc management system to ensure fair and equal access to computers for all patrons. Tampering with this system or otherwise violating our Internet Responsible Use Policy may result in suspension of library privileges and exclusion from the library, as well as prosecution.
